Scenario: You want to find out where people are going when they visit your site?
Answer: Install heat map tracking software.
Heat map tracking software shows you exactly where your visitors are clicking,
by recording the users clicks on your pages.
On this site I am using a free WordPress plugin called SumoMe. This is what it looks like;
From this overlayed image, you can see where the users have clicked.
Also, when you hover over those spots, the software displays how many clicks were made.
This is really beneficial, so you can know what part of your page is getting the most clicks.
After this analysis, you can further enhance your page by improving the area that is getting more clicks and removing the parts which are not getting any attention.
There are many other heat map tools you can use, but most of them require payment.
